History

Maryland Microbrews Inc

Thank you loyal customers.

It is with great sadness to inform you that on March 5, 1997 we were informed by ARAMARK and the Orioles that we would not be invited back to Camden Yards for the 1997 baseball season. The entire staff enjoyed serving you the fine Maryland beers, and of course, always enjoyed the fun banter back and forth.

HISTORY

Oriole Park at Camden Yards opened in 1992 after many years of
design and construction. Concessions at OPCY were “state of the
art”. One item overlooked was the beer concession. Right in the
middle of the microbrew revolution there were no local beers
at OPCY, even though there were award winning breweries in
Maryland. Enter Maryland Microbrews Inc. a
entrepreneurial company which negotiated with ARA Services
(now known as ARAMARK) to open the first microbrew stand in
1994. Each stand offers 5 different drafts. Often we change
products during the game, which provides for additional beer selections.
